February 22, 2016 Richard Gomez 0

Upcoming Android and iOS cricket game Real Cricket 16 has a release date. You can download it via Google Play on March 5 with a version for iOS users soon after. This isn't all. Nautilus Mobile let slip a host of new features you can expect when the game hits.
Some of these include quality of life updates such as a revamped user interface, player profiles, improved leaderboards, and enhanced stat tracking. However, there are a few that have piqued our curiosity.
For one, you'll be able to choose new bowling and batting actions. What this means is, if you're tired of the same animations the game has, you can select and download fresh ones to liven up things. It's a simple yet welcome addition that's bound to make the proceedings a whole lot more interesting.

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood Review - Old School Is Still Cool

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood Review – Old School Is Still Cool

February 18, 2016 Richard Gomez 0

Last year's Wolfenstein: The New Order was a revelation of sorts. Developed by Sweden-based MachineGames, it was a meaty, well-paced first-person shooter complete with all the classic tropes that harked back to the early days of the genre, such as health packs and secret areas. At the same time, The New Order was refined for the modern era, with an intriguing plot, dollops of atmosphere, and nuanced character development. The game was good enough to make our top picks of 2014.
It's been almost a year since we played The New Order, and now we have Wolfenstein: The Old Blood. It is a prequel to The New Order, and again features the killer of Nazis and occult monsters, William “B.J.” Blazkowicz. Although the Old Blood is an expansion pack to The New Order, it's a standalone game and works even if you don't have the base game.
Also, even if you haven't played a single Wolfenstein game, The Old Blood remains fairly accessible, since it's a prequel, you don&#0..

Batman: Arkham Knight Season of Infamy DLC Review

Batman: Arkham Knight Season of Infamy DLC Review

December 30, 2017 Richard Gomez 0

Batman: Arkham Knight has been one of the most controversial games this year. Although the game itself was well received, it wasn't without its flaws, and we aren't even talking about the highly lacklustre PC port, which even after multiple updates isn't really worth paying for. This aside, another thing the game has drawn flak for is the vast amount of downloadable content (DLC) that publisher Warner Bros. announced prior to launch.
The season pass for the game costs a whopping Rs. 3,330 for six months of DLC on the PC, PS4 and Xbox One; that's almost the price of a new game. And very little of this content was really worth the extra money either. Most of it consisted of character skins, challenge maps, and story missions involving protagonists such as Batgirl and Catwoman. That last part is the only true value being added, but these missions were short adventures, clocking in at around 20 to 30 minutes at best.

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen PC Review [year]

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen PC Review 2025

February 10, 2016 Richard Gomez 5

Nearly four years after Dragons Dogma: Dark Arisen released on the PS3 and the Xbox 360, Capcom, the company behind hits like Resident Evil and Street Fighter, has finally released the game for the PC. Has it been worth the wait? Although four years have passed, not much has changed since then, except for technical fixes. In case you didn't play Dragon's Dogma when it first came out, here's what you should know.
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen isn't your typical Capcom game. What this means is, it's not an instalment in one of the company's famous franchises. Instead, it's a new IP with a fantasy setting that has more in common with Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. That's surprising considering that Capcom was notorious for rolling out multiple variants of games based on older IPs with only minor changes.

Firewatch [year] Review

Firewatch 2025 Review

February 9, 2016 Richard Gomez 7

Video games are sold on hyperbole. From gruesome, over the top trailers for gory first-person shooters to breathtaking, to picture-perfect explosions in open-world action-adventure games, there's very little that's grounded in reality. If there aren't monsters to slay or dictators to dethrone, there's a conspiracy to unearth or revenge to be had.
And then there's Firewatch.
You're Henry, a newly hired fire lookout responsible for ensuring the Shoshone National Park in Wyoming is kept safe. The backstory is fairly relatable, and unlike your standard video game protagonist, the only super powers at your disposal are observing your surroundings and reporting them in to your supervisor Delilah, via walkie-talkie.

WWE 2k16 [year]

WWE 2k16 2025

August 26, 2017 Richard Gomez 0

The WWE has been in video games for decades now, back from when it used to be called the World Wrestling Federation. These games aren't always the best games, but the over the top presentation and the accessibility of play means that the WWE games are a great couch multiplayer experience that you can always enjoy with your friends. WWE 2k16 isn't breaking from this tradition either, but along the way, it suffers from a problem that's common to many sports games.
These games need to strike a balance between the presentation as we see it on television – to keep fans interested – but it also needs to be playable, and finding the balance between the presentation and playability is often a challenge. The series is working towards that balance and if you look at the WWE games from WWE 2k14 onwards, you'll see a steady grind that's polishing away rough surfaces and leaving behind a game that's fun for fans and newcomers.

Cuphead Is Possibly The Most Beautiful Game You Will Never Finish

Cuphead Is Possibly The Most Beautiful Game You Will Never Finish

March 25, 2017 Richard Gomez 0

Despite its old-school Walt Disney cartoon-inspired looks, Cuphead is anything but beautiful. The characters look charming, sporting expressions and animations that remind us of simpler, care-free time, an era when TV used to be about Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny. The actual experience is a far cry from those days though.
At Gamescom 2015 We played the game at Microsoft's press conference and came back with our egos battered to submission. And we weren't alone. Everyone who played the game before us had trouble clearing a single level. None of them could. Neither did we. Much like titles such as Super Meat Boy and I Wanna Be the Guy, Cuphead is tough as nails, and that's great.
With gameplay in the mould of classics like Contra, you'll find yourself running and gunning from one boss or another when you're playing the game.
In most cases, you'd wish that you could progress by just running instead because there is so much to take in from the game. The leve..

Far Cry Primal [year]

Far Cry Primal 2025

February 22, 2016 Richard Gomez 0

We never asked for Kanye West's latest spate of rants on Twitter, and we never asked Ubisoft to make Far Cry Primal. It's crazy, bombastic, and surprisingly entertaining, and not something you'd expect from a first-person open-world game set in the Mesolithic age.
With most games taking on fantastical or futuristic settings, this seemed like a poor choice. It's a backdrop where cutting-edge weaponry means spears, clubs, and bows and arrows. It sounds weird, but it comes together in a fashion that works brilliantly.
Taking place in 10,000 BCE, Far Cry Primal puts you in the role of Takkar. You're a hunter who belongs to a tribe known as the Wenja. After a series of unfortunate events, you find yourself in the land of Oros in search of your fellow tribesmen. It's up to you to rally the Wenja and stave off attacks from warring factions – the Udam and Izila.
