Gionee Elife E8 2025

February 22, 2016 Richard Gomez 0

Chinese handset-maker Gionee has launched its flagship Elife E8 smartphone in partnership with domestic e-commerce player Snapdeal priced at Rs. 34,999.
What is good?
The phone has an elegant uni-colour look, its metal sides giving it sturdiness. The Gionee Elife E8 also comes with a dedicated camera button enabling users to take quicker photos. The positioning of the fingerprint scanner is good and it is also very fast.
The 6-inch wide quad-HD display is amazing to watch movies on. Gaming is also a delight. There were no problems with viewing angles.
The 64-bit octa-core MediaTek processor, along with a 3GB RAM, can take anything that you throw at it. Switching between apps was very fluid. Gaming was also fun as there were no lags while playing games like WWE Immortals, Nova 3, and Mortal Kombat.
Going by Geekbench 3 scores, the phone has excellent multi-core performance. On An Tu Tu, the phone scores 49,992 points, taking it very close to other rival flagship devices and above the Me..

Le Max 2025 Review

May 1, 2018 Richard Gomez 0

China's Letv started making headlines in India back in April 2015, and less than a year later, the company has arrived here to compete in the gruelling smartphone race. Originally one of the largest online video companies in China, Letv has added a couple of 'firsts' to its name within a short span. Its Le Max Pro is the world's first smartphone with Qualcomm's highly anticipated Snapdragon 820 SoC, and the company also had the world's slimmest 65-inch TV to its credit this CES, with a depth of just 3.9mm thick. Other than phones and televisions, the company has a diverse range of products too, which it plans to launch in India over time.
With its sights set on major developed and emerging markets, the company has undergone a rebranding exercise and is now called LeEco, which signifies a whole ecosystem of tech products and services. LeEco has rolled out its first smartphones in India and today, we'll be reviewing its flagship offering, the Le Max. T..

Coolpad Note 3 2025

June 27, 2018 Richard Gomez 0

Coolpad, a tech company that is still taking baby steps in India, announced last year that it would soon launch its first 'Made in India' handset. As promised at the time of announcing the Coolpad Note 3, the company on Friday introduced a variant called the Coolpad Note 3 Lite, which is manufactured in India in partnership with Videocon. The Chinese firm continues its tie-up with Amazon for exclusive sales of the device. Priced at Rs. 6,999, the Note 3 Lite will be available through scheduled flash sales starting on January 28.
The Coolpad Note 3 Lite is a budget smartphone, but still packs a number of features and some specifications that customers look for in mid-range handsets. Although on paper it is not as powerful as its elder sibling, it does leave us with some overall positive first impressions. It is also one of the least expensive smartphones in India with a fingerprint sensor.

iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus Review

iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus Review

June 14, 2018 Richard Gomez 0

For most of the reviews here at Gadgets 360, we use the mobile in question as our primary phone for about a week or so before sharing our verdict with you. We realise this isn't perfect, since there are some aspects of the device that don't become obvious during that time, and in an ideal world, we'd use every phone for a couple of months before we publish our review. But we work under constraints where most devices aren't available to us for that long – almost all products that we review are loaned to us by companies for short durations – and there's also the competitive pressure of wanting to get your review out before others do, as long as it doesn't involve cutting any corners.
With the launch of iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus in India, Apple offered to loan the two new iPhones to Gadgets 360 – and indeed other publications – for more than the typical timeframe of a few days. The India iPhone launch of course came a few weeks after it was available in t..

HTC One E9s Dual SIM Review

HTC One E9s Dual SIM Review

November 18, 2017 Richard Gomez 0

HTC was a major player in the Android smartphone market not too long ago, but has been on a steady decline. It's evident when you see that HTC's share in the India smartphone market is just 1.4 percent, down from 10 percent in Q3 2011. Last year's HTC One (M8) (Review | Pictures) got some praise from us, but this year's flagship HTC One M9+ (Review) left us wanting more. HTC hasn't produced a clear winner in a very long time.

The Taiwanese manufacturer hasn't quite given up just yet, and one of its latest launches in India is the HTC One E9s Dual SIM. The device is a part of the top-end One range of products, but is more affordable than its flagship namesakes. With its plastic body and typically mid-range spec-sheet, the One E9s Dual SIM, on paper, seems like an overpriced mid-range smartphone. We find out if there's more to it in our review.
Look and feel
Although the One E9s Dual SIM is to be considered among the top tier of HTC smartphones, its pl..

Alcatel Flash 2 - [year] Review

Alcatel Flash 2 – 2025 Review

September 9, 2017 Richard Gomez 0

Alcatel Onetouch, the joint venture between France's Alcatel and China's TCL, has been a background player in the Indian market for a while now. Several other Chinese companies have entered and made big splashes – not all have sustained their momentum, but Alcatel has popped up every now and then with a new release, reminding us that it's here.
The new Alcatel Flash 2 might raise the company's profile in India. It has a reasonable price and some interesting looks and features that set it apart in a very crowded space. We're eager to see what this device has in store for us.
Look and feel
The Alcatel Flash 2 has a pretty bold look which most other manufacturers seem to shy away from. At first glance it seems like a premium phone, but on closer inspection the shiny chrome frame which cradles the black front face and wraps around the sides is actually plastic. The front face is black and is bordered by subtle plastic strips which almost make it look as though the ..
